What is Your Story?

This is still one of my my favourite stories – (and favourite characters…) and so it was for my children as well. I guess most of you know them…? How do you remember their impact if you read them as a child?

  1. My books mostly came from Denmark. My first picture books were in Danish: Little Krista Goes to Flowerland and The Ugly Duckling and dad had to read them to me; later I received an entire collection of Han Christian Andersen in English – the ones I remember most were the two saddest ones: The Little Match Girl and The Little Mermaid, the original very un-Disney-like version. I have never read Narnia – obviously need to get on it!

    • Oh , those two were the saddest of sad. I always wonder why Disney changes stories for a happy ending. Stories are stories, and in real life they do not always come with a Disney ending.

  2. Mon Dieu! Is this Aslan? Narnia is one of the best stories ever! I used to believe that my own wardrobe could move me there too. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Do you know ‘The water babies’? It’s another interesting story for children. It’s not as bewitched as ‘Narnia’ but full of morals.

Halva verket är läsarens - så, vad säger Du? As the second half is the reader's - I'd love to have Your line!
