I’m really quite simple. I plant flowers and watch them grow… I stay at home and watch the river flow. – George Harrison
This is what we must do today – this is not the time for travel. So, from the archives – images from Iceland, New Zealand, Sweden, Scotland, Norway and Georgia. May the rivers keep flowing and the waters never go dry.
A winter message from the river: Never surrender! Life can try to stop you, but somehow find a way to flow!
―
The river teaches us many things, but its most important teaching is this: Whatever is happening around you, you keep flowing to your own destination following your own way!
―
If you have a river, then you should share it with everyone. – Chen Guangbiao
It is from small streams that big rivers rise.
―
No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man. – Heraclitus
Many a calm river begins as a turbulent waterfall, yet none hurtles and foams all the way to the sea. – Mikhail Lermontov
Learn from a river; obstacles may force it to change its course, but never its destination.

Hi Leya
I appreciate your sensitive message about not traveling in these troubling times but am glad your archives hold so many images from your travels to these exotic (to me) locations. I really like the photo of the tall bridge looking up from water level and can readily imagine being there in my kayak.
I think I posted my own submission too soon and didn’t link to yours. My apologies.

Thank you so much, Babsje! And I think you have posted!
You’re welcome! 😎 Best, Babsje

Love your gallery – my favourite is the images of the fall with the small boats. I can hear the silence.
Thank you, Viveka. I passed that view every day going to work.
So peaceful … like a fairy tale.
Yes. I miss it very much…When I look at the photos, I always feel I have to go there again!
Why not do it now when you’re alone … ?????
Yes, just waiting for some green to appear!
It will soon be here …. but now the chill is back for the weekend. The last chance for me to defrost my freezer. *smile … stay safe.
Stay safe you too, Viveka! Tomorrow at least
another mild day!
What a fantastic day we have … again today – got my freezer defrosted last night. Life feels extra good today. *smile Would have loved our date on Tuesday.
Good to hear – and I would have loved it too…
Very beautiful, I really like the image you chose as the header for this post.
Thank you, Amy – Iceland never disappoints!

Ohhh, is the lush, green one from Sweden?? Stunning. I’d like to be canoeing on the one that looks like it’s fogged in – if only!! That bridge is super cool too. Loved all the quotes A-C 💕
Yes, and the foggy one as well – in my neighborhood.
Just lovely A-C!! Lucky you!!!
