I use layers, yes. I will try to describe – but admit sometimes I don’t get it right…then I have to start again.
First: Copy background and go to Filter, Pixeleate Mezzio, medium streaks. Then Filter , blur, radial 100% zoom a couple of times.
Then again, Filter- distort, swirl -100. After this I click for a new layer to change colour balance, highlights, shadows, curves etc.
The last thing is to combine all layers into one and use the (black and white)brush to paint out what I want to be clear from the underlying picture (the cow here).
Good luck!
I know the swirl part.
Blending the other image,I struggle in PE.
Can you guide me the photoshop steps?
As you said in both softwares the steps must be similar.
Thank you.
I have PE 2020
Just now I read your reply to Annie Sandler.Let me try.
Thank you
Ah, please let me know how it worked out!
Sure
Should work.
Hopefully
I tried writing how to Anne, and saw you had read it. Let me know if it worked out all right!
Wow, such a crazy nice cow! The colors make me think of a desert 🏜
That is wonderful Anne-Christine. So much action with the cow just standing there motionless. Great job!
Thank you, Teresa – sometimes I manage to have some fun in all the grey of the season!
A lovely swirl! The colours work so well in this one. I must have another play, it is such fun.
Thank you! Yes – do play! Here it is so grey and cold outdoors, and every colour is gone. Needed some badly.
Stunning graphic design, AC! Love the colors of the swirl.
Thank you, Amy – a little colurful work on a grey day!
Phew- I think that wine’s gone to my head, Ann Christine 🙂 🙂
Hihi – take care, Jo. Wine is too tasty sometimes…
Lens-Artists?
Thanks John! I have changed themes in WP, and this one did not go up on scheduled time!
Ah. Thanks.
Wow! I love this.
Thanks! Then we had fun together!
Gosh, that cow must be feeling dizzy!
You’ve done this really well, leaving the cow completely sedate and normal in the centre.
Thanks, Debbie – at least I had great fun!
Looks like that cow’s getting sucked into the abyss.
janet
Ha – I think he is too heavy…;-D
I like that! beautiful colours!
Thank you!
Great effect! I’ve swirled a picture in Photoshop, but the entire image swirls. Did you use 2 layers? Tell us your secret. Please!

Clever! How did you do that!
With Photoshop!
Ah, I don’t use it…..
I know…
Lovely Swirl.
Can this be done in photoshop elements ?
I do it in Photoshop 2021 – I guess that’s the same?
I know the swirl part.

Thank you so much
He looks lonely.
He does – but he had three, four other friends there. I made him lonely in the swirl only.
I have found it is easy to be lonely in a crowd.
So it is, Elon. And I prefer being alone, not lonely.
Me too!
That is both creative and beautiful. Love it!
Thank you – a bit of fun a grey day!
Psychedelic!
Haha – a bit funny – I think I agree!
Wow ❗️ cool 😎 Swirl reminds me of the early ’70’s 😉 🍄
Glad it does!
