Maidenhair fern is a favorite of mine because of its delicate stems and leaves. A plant that is perfect company in the shadow of others that prefer sun.

could take away some metaphors from your brief description of this fern – and love the light and details you provided us

Gorgeous details! 🙂 🙂 Vibrant green.
Thank you, Jo – love this little plant. So difficult to handle though…
Lovely backlight, A C, which really shows off the veins in the leaves…..nicely done
Thank you, Sue, master of light and shadow!
😄😄😄💕
Lovely photo
Glad you like it, Sheree – a tiny beauty.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen this in real life. What delicate beauty!

Yes…they hide in crevices and between stones where water is running. Very tiny and difficult to keep alive.
Love this image 😍
Happy to share! Thank you.
Beautiful.
Happy you like them –
Beautifully captured. Looks similar to what I call a Ginko.
You are so observant! I think they remind me of Ginko too. The big difference is the size – these leaves are not more than 0.5 cm maximum.
Thanks for the information … and well done on the photos.
Thank you, Frank!
I have never managed to keep one of these alive, but maybe here in damp Cornwall I might have a chance. They are so pretty. As is your photo.
Thank you, Jude – and I am not good at it either. But, since I stopped working and now stopped traveling as well – I can water them as I should! This one has survived for two years now. But forgetting only once is a disaster, I know…
That is a beautiful photo!!
Thank you, Lisa! Tiny leaves – but lovely to look at!
