Well look at them, they spend eons growing, they survive fire, flood, storms, drought. They grow wise and tall, providing, shelter to animals and often food. Humans take 30 minutes to cut them down and either burn them or mass produce something. All the wisdom and knowledge gone … therefore much maligned
