The old apple tree is now covered in wild honeysuckle and clematis Paul Farges. Finally we have reached 21 C after having a very chilly start to June. Which also means the strawberries are awake and we eat some every day! It is the old Sengana from my grandmother’s plants.

Wishing you all a wonderful Midsummer – if you celebrate it or not! In the Scandinavian countries it is a major feast with dancing and singing, good food and good friends gathering.

We celebrate the light and Mother Nature thriving – once more. A beautiful time of the year.
Your garden is looking wonderful. Mine is totally over grown this year, I will reclaim it sometime
Well, I am glad you like it. It is mostly wild nowadays – but I will not reclaim it!
Happy Midsummer, Ann Christine! And I’m pleased to see the old apple tree adorned with honeysuckle and clematis, and do enjoy those strawberries
What a beautiful garden you have! Happy summer!
Celebrating midsummer is not something we do here, but I do remember it when I was working in Norway one summer with beacons lit on the mountains and enjoying dancing and partying at midnight! Your garden is a true delight – love the red honeysuckle, I have a similar one. And strawberries just shout ”SUMMER HAS ARRIVED!” Let’s hope the weather is good for the rest of the season. It’s overcast here today, but yesterday was beautiful.
So lovely, especially having those strawberries from your own garden 😀. Ah the mention of Midsummer reminds me of the Shakespeare play 😀!
Happy Midsummer Ann-Christine, your garden looks so beautiful! 💚🍓
It is a beautiful garden, Ann-Christine 😊
I love the biodiversity of your garden. Happy Midsummer! Trevlig Midsommar!
Lovely. And we here in the UK can greet summer beginning on Midsummer Day. Finally …
Happy mid-summer, Ann-Christine. Here it’s still about 10 °C too cold for this time of the year, while other parts of Germany already suffer from heat.
