Today was the shortest day of the year in Sweden. 7 hours. Now the light is returning, some seconds a day and then a minute and then…
Thank you for 2024 – I wish us all positive thoughts and a New Year of hope for the world.
Happy Holidays!
and for you who celebrate:

A second at a time, but in a month we will begin to notice the difference. Happy solstice Ann-Christine. ❄️❄️
♥♥♥ The same to you, Jude, and it is good to have good friends! The seconds go faster ♥
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and I look forward to following along with you in the new year. ❤️Best wishes from Ruth in Pittsburgh PA
Thank you so much, Ruth, the same to you! In this strange world, it is good to have each other.
You are so right. ❤️
I’m always happy to know that the days will be getting longer from this point, even if we don’t notice it at first! Merry Christmas to you and yours, and very best wishes for 2025 🎄🎄
Thank you, Sarah – and the same to you and yours! At least I notice it inside me… everything seems lighter and less heavy.
A delightful card to celebrate all aspects of the season. Thank you, and all good wishes for Christmas and for next year to you and your family 💗
Thank you – wishes for you too, Margaret.❤️ Will it be a big gathering? This year we will be 13 – that is enough!
Wow! That IS big. No, we’re doing ours in bits and pieces, because we all live all over the place. But that way, we extend the pleasure.
❤️
Merry Christmas!
To you as well!
Wonderful Ann-Christine. Merry Christmas and have a fabulous time 🥰
❤️💖❤️
Complete opposite here Leya! Merry Christmas to you too 🎄
❤️
Merry Christmas, Ann-Christine! ❄️
Thank you- the same to you and yours!
Wish I was there just to say nought but give you a big hug – for everything . . . where I am the shortest day begins at 7am and it gets darkish after 5pm, so I more than understand the importance of the Solstice in your lives . . . so may I just hope that as every day gets a minute or two more light all will be right in your world now and when we write the year as 2025 . . . thank you . . .
Hugs eight back to you!
Happy Solstice, Anne-Christine! 1-3 munutes a day we gain. We spent our shortest winter day driving south toward Arizona for 6 weeks of sun! Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🎄✨️
Sun! Wow…almost forgotten what it looks like!
I know the feeling living in Spokane, Washington 😁
Too little sun there too?
Yep! We get fog where live. I can handle snow and winter, but I need the sun to be out. Then I can snowshoe.
Thank you Ann-Christine and happy Holidays to you and your family too ❤💫

Merry Christmas Ann-Christine!
The same to you my friend!
That is beautiful Ann-Christine, and a happy thought that the shortest days are done, at least for this season!
Yes – one day at a time…slowly going forward. ♥
And the very same to you. So glad to have reached the Solstice – now for brighter days
♥
