Magnolias are heavenly. My magnolia is almost white when unfolded, but there are purple ones with enormous flowers too.
Oh, how very, very beautiful! Thank you to Jo . . . am not sure I would have recognized the loveliness as a magnolia . . what a cornucopia of blossoms so close to one another . . .
Beautiful and ethereal…unfortunately they bloom in April/May when there is still night frost. This means the flowers often are frozen the next day – shorter life than butterflies. .
That’s pure bliss! I saw my first magnolia of the year today, but not that variety. The deep pink one.
