This tiny exhibition at Kulturen in Lund was a real hit for me. I only took a few photos, but hopefully they convey something of what and who they were. Some of their movies are still on TV every year…and Hasse is still here, even if he does not write or perform anymore. The Apple War and The Simple-Minded Murderer are my absolute favourites.
Nostalgia…yes, but they will never die! Hans Alfredsson and Tage Danielsson – the number one comic artists of Sweden, the best critics of politics and politicians, the front figures working for a better world and environmental awareness. They brought out the best in people…by using their extreme talent for words.
Unfortunately this kind of sophisticated humour does no longer exist. (People are not good at words anymore…) Word jugglers, enthusiasts – ask any Swede my age, and they can recite something from ”Om sannolikhet” (”On Likelyhood”)
Rain, rain…Easter Rain. But inside, indoors – there is much to be seen and contemplated this week of exhibitions and art work. And good food, and good thoughts. I will be spending this week with my children and plan to visit some nice exhibitions as well. In fact, some of my photos will be up too. Exciting…
More reportings from the exhibitions later…
Wishing you all a Happy Easter!
Over my head in the header and in the skate park. Over the water in Tibet.
Travelling means learning new things every day. I guess that is one of the best parts of life – learning new things. In this 2 million people capital, Quito, Ecuador, I enjoyed every second. Almost 3000 metres up in the Andes – you had to take it a bit easy the first day.
Do you, for instance, know which mountain is the world´s highest? I learned from the Ecuadorian businessman sitting next to me in the plane between Guayaquil and Baltra, that it is…..Chimborazo, a big volcano in Ecuador. It is higher than Mount Everest – if you count from the middle of our planet Earth.
Colourful Old Town Quito, together with Krakow, Poland, 1978 became the first UNESCO World Heritage sites. And they keep it colourful, clean and tidy.
There were grand festivities this week – December 6 was celebrated everywhere. So, what did they celebrate? Their freedom? No, they celebrated the Spaniards conquering them in the 16th century…I asked them how this could be something to celebrate – and they all answered that they had put all this behind them – this day was just a good day for festivities and having fun. That sounded just great to me!
Beautiful city and beautiful people – and wonderful food! We enjoyed Quito despite some rain. Old and young, everybody in a good mood.
A young man came up to me with a rose. You know, the thing they do everywhere down in Europe, expecting you to give some money…This young guy was in a group of students, and he was the only one to have a single rose in his hand. I shook my head and told him I had no money, but his eyes were shining when he smiled, saying that he did not want any money…just to give me the rose.

For PR – promoting things, like Lars Wallin clothes, we still use paper…
Writing novels, short stories and poetry…
Writing other important, or less important, messages…
…and for candy bags of course…
So, except for wrapping paper, these were a few more I found in my pockets, for Ailsa!
In the header – playing old viking games. From a trip to Scarborough some years ago.
A good friend of ours playing at his own wedding
Mmm, another of my favourite dogs!
And these two are the top two! And they could play…the whole day without getting tired!
Great Fun! Fun watching them, fun playing volleyball, fun puppy love…
How I enjoyed this stay with Totti’s little ones! Thank you Michelle, for finally having Fun!
Last week I went to a local museum to see a travelling exhibition with some of our famous designers’ clothes made for Swedish artists and singers.

Katarina de Bourg made the clothes for our young Japan export – Yohio. His androgynous style is not as popular here as in Japan, where he is a big star. He is greatly influenced by the Japanese genre visual kei.

Yohio participated in Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and 2014.

Another colourful group is Army of Lovers, with their almost Arabian Nights – style.

Camilla Thulin is renowned for having designed all of Army of Lovers‘ outfits.

Thulin also designed Malena Ernman‘s gown worn during her Eurovision Song Contest 2009 performance (reported to have cost €37,471).

A much loved artist and singer from up north, Roger Pontare, is of Sami origin. He has represented Sweden twice in Eurovision Song Contest.

Sarah Mårskog successfully designed his shaman- inspired clothes.

Altogether an inspiring exhibition, where I picked some of my favourites for you. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.
