Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Back of Things
Today is the Autumn Equinox, so why not try to show summer turning its back on us?
Here we go…
For Paula’s Traces of the Past – a picture taken in Rom’s Ostia Antica. A magnificent place to stroll and marvel at our ancestor’s architecture.
Avenues…trees. In spring, summer, autumn or winter… They inspire and give comfort. The closeness, the narrow path or road in between…

They make me – they force me – to stop and feel the athmosphere, take a photo, enjoy.

I love all constellations. firs, pine trees, birches, aspen, oak trees… I do not have to walk in there, I am completely satisfied with standing still, breathing the air and the feeling…
…letting my imagination run free. How do you feel?
Layered? What could be more layered than the giant pancaces of New Zealand. Impressive!
Steps and stairs always speak to you, don’t they. The material is of course important, and the age. As often for me, I love the old ones best. Worn down, used for hundreds or even thousands of years.
Ostia Antica, Italy. A theatre, yes, but you also have to walk the steps to get to your seat. And in the header, old steps leading to a house in the abandoned village Castro in western Spain.
Somehow I see the theater’s steps as going down – while in Castro the steps are leading upwards.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Letter E – Needs to have two E’s in the topic word
Since yesterday’s crash I have tried to pick (and cheer) myself up – and with the help of penicillin and the new computer – ta da! Berries and bluebells!
