Last week my two children, son and daughter, both got positive answers to their applies for university. Both got what they wanted and their first rated universities – my son will study to become a graphic designer and my daughter to become a dentist.
Fresh, wonderful news – and cheers were made in fresh, sparkling champagne, of course!

Thank you so much, AD! I am very proud of them! Mostly because they have grown up to be responsible persons and warm at heart, but also for them having go enough to study. Many young people here in Sweden have no job – I hope studying will help them to get one.
I’m sure they’ll both do really well. You’re encouragement must surely have a lot to do with their work ethic. 🙂
I hope so. Parents are the most important figures in the raising of children. Today, here in Sweden people tend to think it is the teachers who are to do magic with the youngsters…People must have misunderstood something gravely here…What do you think? How does it work in your country?

Jo, det var det. Men tydligen var konceptet i Skövde något han fastnade för. Mindre grupper med hela spannet av samarbete för färdig produkt. Sen tyckte han att miljö och lokaler i Skövde verkade fräschast av alla…Långt bort blir det, men det var ju dit han ville…
Jag har ju vant mig lite vid att damen bott i Lund senaste året, men sonen, sonen…åh, det blir svårt. Samtidigt behöver han verkligen flytta nu – det blir ett lyft för honom.

So true! But some young ones are very clear about the career path they want to follow. I envy them.

Det är inte utan att jag fick en liten släng av längtan tillbaka till studietiden …

Jag har vidarebefordrat detta! Nej tyvärr inte så nära för båda. Tandläkarhögskolan ligger i Malmö, så det är bara en timmes resa – henne får jag väl träffa ganska ofta hoppas jag. Sonen ska ända till Skövde. Kanske inte så jättelångt, men det ligger mellan sjöarna och tar 3-4 timmar att åka – och kostar en tusenlapp tor. Det blir en dyr affär att åka hem, men hoppas på en gång i månaden kanske. Jag får väl sponsra för att få hem honom…
Jag har också fotokurs överst på min lista! Sen har jag alltid ångrat att jag inte läste historia. Det var första kursen som skrämde bort mig – hela världshistorien på en termin…jättetufft. Men det är ju alltid så att första terminen trycker de in precis allt översiktligt, och sen blir det roligare med fördjupningarna.
Allvarligt – tänker du studera igen? Kul! Jag slutade aldrig vid universitetet utan fortsatte läsa intressanta kurser fram till 2006, samtidigt som jag jobbade. Men där tog det stopp. Jobbet tog all min tid och jag tyckte att jag var trött. 22 år med kurser – mycket roligt har jag haft. Det blev mest Lund, men också Malmö och Kristianstads högskolor. Att titta i den årliga kurskatalogen var som att gå i en bokhandel eller för ett barn som att gå i en godisaffär.
Hoppas vi båda går fotokurs och kan jämföra och diskutera! Konsthistorian får du gärna berätta om under tiden också – det vore också roligt att läsa…

Yes! And none of them drinks alcohol, so they only had a celebrational sip…then they left their glasses to me. But I don’t mind champagne…
