Först i ganska klar kvällssol.
This evening I walked past a lovely field all aglow with the last rays of the sun.
The birds are still active, and so are the mosquitos…but the night is soft and warm, and we all enjoy our walk. Suddenly there’s a car coming, stirring up a golden cloud of dust in the dry air.
We walk our path and return to the field when the sun is on its way down – using a new palette of colours.
The field is irresistiblly beautiful, but we have to return home. It’s rather late, and the temperature is still 23 degrees C. Not until now was it possible to walk the dogs – they refuse to go when it is hot. 28 we have had for some days now.
One last picture I have to take…I love these colours.

Serene and beautiful! 🙂
Thank you. Soon we will be there again…
Dette er vakkert!
I love those colours.
beautiful rich images of the corn, the colours changing with the light, i can imagine it as a woven cloth … and love the sunbeams on the road, looks like a magic afternoon!
Such a lovely comment – thank you! Sometimes there’s magic an ordinary day too.
yes, you are right, if we can only see!
Wow, this is just fantastic .. what a gallery. I love how the sunlight plays with the with the crop … it’s like gold. That photo of the path is stunning, with the sun breaking through the trees. This is pure magic, A-C!
You’re so sweet and supporting, Viveka! Thank you!
There is something almost magical about corn fields in the twilight. Beautiful photos. I posted about the same thing…..great minds at work again 🙂
Indeed! And you had a beautiful sky as well!
Every morning and evening now is pure magic. Only, here it is getting too dry – we haven’t had a single drop of rain for several weeks and temperatures about 24-29 degrees C. The summer flowers are fading and the grass is hay coloured.
Its the same here, but today clouds have come and the temperatures are a bit cooler 🙂
Thanks for sharing your tips!
🙂
Lovey! Especially the second shot with the sweet dog.
Thank you – he is sweet indeed. Too hot for him these days only.
Fina bilder 🙂
Surreal!
Wow! Well, when winter comes I will remember those soft nights…
Beautiful photos, love the light!
Oh, the light…summer nights are dreamy and soft. I hope to remember them in my heart when the autumn winds are blowing.
The colours are lovely. Are there little blue flowers in the first photo? Cornflowers? or something else.
I cannot find them, but there are camomill at least!
Ah, yes, now I look more closely, I can see that the flower is white not blue; so at harvest time you can pick some to make tea!
I used to when I was younger! I am afraid I have lost some of that thriftiness and eagerness with age. And, with a stressful life… I’m honestly thinking of retiring earlier to get some peace of mind and time to think and do.
It’s usually nice if you can retire earlier or at least reduce working hours. Is there a Government ‘old age’ pension at a certain age. Here we get a pension at 65 but people can continue to work if they want to and still receive the pension too.
It’s the same here about the age, but I don’t know if we get salary And pension if we go on working.
My brother who is a teacher in Australia has been lucky to get Sabbaticals. One year he used the time to do the Certificate in Antarctica Studies and went to Antarctica. That was a great break, though not exactly relaxation in my opinion!
What an adventure! Relaxation can mean so many things really…There are many things I would like to do when I’m retired too. Maybe not as great projects as your brother’s though!
🙂
Otroligt vackert, njutningsfullt för ögat ! // Maria 🙂
Jo, du är som jag – igen. Hoppas vädret bättrat sig däruppe hos er!
Just wonderful Lighting!
Thank you! These soft evenings are something to remember when the autumn rain comes.
These are gorgeous shots! Beautiful nature soft light.
Thank you, Amy! It’s wonderful to walk late in the evening with the crickets singing and everything is still and soft.
Out or natures quiet times, comes the most extraordinary images – I can understand why this was such a special moment. Beautiful soft light and colors.
It was special, yes. We have had some of those nights now, and no rain for several weeks. The summer flowers will not last without water, which is sad.
