No, I play the guitar and the piano. My son plays the saxophone and my daughter the transverse (western concert) flute and the guitar.
This photo is from our museum of military instruments.
That’s interesting that the photo is of military instruments. My grandfather played the euphonium; not sure when he started to play but I am fairly sure he played during his time in the military in World War One. I didn’t ever hear him play though. You must have some wonderful musical times at home; so much talent in the family. Do you all sing as well?
I think I have euphonium on at least one of the photos in this series! Interesting. I sing too, and my son. I used to sing in a duo and then choir. He is a very good singer but nowadays he doesn’t want to sing at all… He doesn’t play much either – he claims his studies are too tough Do you sing? It’s very rewarding and social – I love it but seldom do now….
I sing to myself! My daughter sings beautifully although I don’t think she sings much anymore. I suppose there are times when we don’t want to sing; singing gives us energy but it also uses a lot 🙂 Are you brave enough to do a recording on Soundcloud? A little playing and singing of a traditional song/any song for us to hear? My dog loves to sing; he really does! And my son taught him to sit at the piano and hit some of the keys. It’s ever so cute.
Now I reread comments because I think I missed answering some – and found your suggestion of Soundcloud. Honestly I have never tried it…Maybe I should? I would love to see some of that piano playing dog though!
