On my walks I often find things in Nature that have been put there by man, but still look like they really belong there.

This open space in the forest is most certainly well travelled by many animals. The tower is for the moose hunters.
Following a narrow path, I came upon the old cellar that is all that’s left from ”Anna’s Cottage”. She lived here until about 1930.
Not ”Anna”, but another mum found in the same forest…

No. Those kind of cellars were all outdoor cellars and built with earthen floor only.

Intriguing! I am glad your mother was ‘found’ in nature and not lost. She looks very at home in those natural surroundings.
Oh, she is! A rather tough one, so strenous walks means no problem to her. We ususally backpack and hike during summer – but no sleeping outdoors! She’s turning 79 this summer.

Yes, and with her enthusiasm for walking she will keep active and mobile for a long while yet; that’s a real blessing.
My lovely grandmother was just the same – an avid walker. Unfortunately she worked with hard outdoor labour (gardening trade) all her life so she died only 77 years old. Her body worn out. Hardly happens these days in the western countries.
Indeed; it is our minds that seem to wear out these days.
Yes…and all too fast. Now even students. Yesterday I heard of a collegue, who is only one of all those I’ve heard of with balance problems, that the crystals (?) in hear ears were dissolving, not only swirling freely as the other diagnosis is, and she has to stay at home because she cannot move her head or walk.
Oh my goodness; that must be so difficult.

There was a sign (you can see it in the picture) only saying her name and when she lived there. Not much more. It would have been great to see pictures of her and her cottage from those days. I guess not many photos were taken of poor people then.
