On my walks I often find things in Nature that have been put there by man, but still look like they really belong there.
Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Found in Nature gives an opportunity to share some of them …
This open space in the forest is most certainly well travelled by many animals. The tower is for the moose hunters.
Following a narrow path, I came upon the old cellar that is all that’s left from ”Anna’s Cottage”. She lived here until about 1930.
Not ”Anna”, but another mum found in the same forest…

I jakttorn som det du visade på den första bilden har jag suttit och väntat många ggr under åren då jag jagade …
Numer kan jag emellanåt gå upp och sätta mig där bara för att njuta av tystnaden … // Maria 🙂
Jag föredrar din senare verksamhet…Men får du upp Yarri dit?
Fun and cool!!!! Your mum and you’re are so look alike. *smile
Ha, ha…that’s just what my daughter tells me…
Yes, very much so … even on a good distance. *smile
Underbart att ha en jordkällare!!!
Terrific photos 🙂
Jag har alltid önskat mig en…men det stannar på drömstadiet.
What a lovely walk you and your mum had. That old cellar looks really interesting. Were there once steps leading down to it ?
No. Those kind of cellars were all outdoor cellars and built with earthen floor only.
That is a beautiful found in nature post, Leya! I can feel the peacefulness forest…
I’m glad you feel how peaceful it was in there, Amy! Have a great weekend!
Whimsical locations, beautiful post.
😉
Intriguing! I am glad your mother was ‘found’ in nature and not lost. She looks very at home in those natural surroundings.
Oh, she is! A rather tough one, so strenous walks means no problem to her. We ususally backpack and hike during summer – but no sleeping outdoors! She’s turning 79 this summer.
That’s wonderful!
I’m so grateful!
Yes, and with her enthusiasm for walking she will keep active and mobile for a long while yet; that’s a real blessing.
My lovely grandmother was just the same – an avid walker. Unfortunately she worked with hard outdoor labour (gardening trade) all her life so she died only 77 years old. Her body worn out. Hardly happens these days in the western countries.
Indeed; it is our minds that seem to wear out these days.
Yes…and all too fast. Now even students. Yesterday I heard of a collegue, who is only one of all those I’ve heard of with balance problems, that the crystals (?) in hear ears were dissolving, not only swirling freely as the other diagnosis is, and she has to stay at home because she cannot move her head or walk.
Oh my goodness; that must be so difficult.
Would love to know more about Anna’s cottage in the woods 🙂
There was a sign (you can see it in the picture) only saying her name and when she lived there. Not much more. It would have been great to see pictures of her and her cottage from those days. I guess not many photos were taken of poor people then.
I am so in love with your mossy rocks and trees…..I live in Oregon USA and it’s full of moss and I just adore it. Thanks ever so much for participating!
This seems fun. How do you do to participate? Is this this weeks challenge then or for how long is every photochallenge?
Just click on the link in my post and find out! Cee’s putting up new ideas every week and you are told in advance so you can prepare! It’s rreally fun, join in!
Ok. You add photos to your own blog and then do? Link to her blog or send her a message that you are participating?
Yes! Go to her blog and put your link there with a short message when you have finished your post and posted it!
Will do. 🙂
Looking forward to!
Finished. I´ll post it tomorrow. Already have one for today. 🙂
Or I just changed my mind and post it now. Yey
😉
It’s always fun, Cee! Thank you for being there, being so positive and hosting!I have never been to the US, only South America. I guess Oregon looks a great deal like Sweden then?
Lovely pictures Leya, and yet another reminder that our landscapes have been heavily influenced by people for thousands of years. I like your little relics of the past.
😉 I’m so glad! I’ll tell my mother…
