My husband loves the big Galapagos turtles. One day, we were at the Honolulu zoo watching the turtles sleeping in the grass, beneath a warm sun. We stood there for about 10 minutes. And then, one of the turtles raised its head. My husband said, ”Oh Wow! Look the turtle moved!”
A few seconds later, its head dropped back down. And that was the end of that…back to sleep!
No wonder the turtles live so long.
Maybe we should try the same strategy?…
Ah yes…a little more sleep would probably work wonders!
What can be more ancient than that?? Gfeat job Ann Christine 🙂
Thank you – I adore him, really…
I love your take on this week’s theme 🙂
Thank you! He’s nice!
Wow, brilliant shot …. brilliant entry.
Thank you! I adore him.
Is he a friend of yours ?????
Very close…
Very close … do you have a turtle – wow …. he looks massive in the photo *smile
Just joking…being ancient…
I understand ….. *smile – I don’t even understand that word. Gammalmodig ??????? Never!!!!!

Åh…man blir trött.
Perfect choice; one of the true ancients.
I love their looks.
What a gorgeous photo of this turtle!!!
I’m glad you think so – he’s really nice in my eyes!
Great choice!
Thank you, Amy!
Perfect!
😉
Really cute!
I think so at least…!
And I doubt you could be argued with, A-C: David Attenborough is always going on about how old they can grow to… which makes it all the more tragic to think of their having been killed for food all those years ago. Not that this one would ever have been in danger!
No danger there. I love them really – the look of their necks and their eyes. It’s as if they knew all the sorrows and regrets of mankind.
Then they really WOULD be dead. 😦
😉
Creative! 🙂
