Sylvain Landry. My favourite theme…Trees. They are an important part of my life. In fact…in many ways they represent Life to me. My Silent Sunday entry from my ”own” forest, should have been my entry here…but I will have to pick another one.
From the Pyrenées – a hot summer long ago…lovely hikes and my daughter in a tree.

Underbart, och dotter i träd jättefint.

Thank you so much! I tried to comment on your blog, but it seemed impossible!
Now I found how to!
beautiful memories! 🙂
They are…thank you.
Such special, wonderful moments in time. love the photos.
I’m glad you enjoyed them – and they were wonderful moments – happy to think about for years to come.
Oh, lovely trees, and your daughter looks most at home on that tree limb! I imagine you had some great walks in that region
We had indeed. Two valleys of hiking, one of them had been closed for many, many years. This meant there were pristine areas with rare flowers and butterflies. A heaven.
What a fabulous experience! Was that in the French or the Spanish Pyrenees?
That was in the Spanish part, but we ventured into France as well. I would really love to go back again!
But it might not be the same…
No…that is what’s constantly holding one back, isn’t it? I went back to the Azores after six years, and I cried my eyes out over the main island. It had become ”touristic ”, and they had built a pool in the jungle where we had had that wonderful experience bathing in the natural pool – listening to the sounds of the forest and looking up at the canopy – alone. And much more was gone…so, no, I try to avoid that kind of disappointments.
Indeed….part of me wants to return to Cuba, but I fear what I might see/not see
Your daughter is beautiful, what a great shot! I love trees, each rut and line tells the character of these powerful elements of nature – your images are wonderful specimens Ann-Christine.
Thank you, Mary, always lovely comments! I loved the Pyrenées – and the time when our family travelled together.
What a great tree in that first shot (and daughter, too, of course.) That limb is perfect for relaxing.

It is! A tree like that to rest on in the garden would not be wrong.
It would be marvelous. A cup of tea, a book, and that tree limb = bliss.
Bliss!
Lovely photo!
Thank you, Pike!
Lovely trees and a very nice memory you shared with us.
Thank you, Lena! What would we do without our cameras?
I have no idea! 🙂
Neither have I!
Yeah i lové the first one
Resting on a tree it means paradise
Paradise to me as well!
Such lovely and inviting trees! I would enjoy hiking there.
These valleys are really great. I would love to return – and I’m sure you would love hiking there!
I love this shot, Ann-Christine! Your daughter has a beautiful smile.
Thank you, Patti. I love this shot as well. As a mother does, of course!
Of course! I feel the same way about my son. 🙂
And so do I about my son as well 🙂
