Today I will try Paula’s (Lost in Translation) challenge: ”After and Before” – new to me, but sounds fun! I have used this ”before” picture before (!), but when I posted it I was thinking… it might look good in B&W as well. Which one do you prefer?
After
Before
Båda är fina på sitt sätt, men jag tycker om färg
Först på senare tid har jag börjat uppskatta svartvitt – färg fungerar bäst för mig. Porträtt är nog finast i svartvitt.
B&w
OK – I almost agree.
Leya, you make beautiful photography, and this entry is no exception 🙂 It is really hard to pick the one that works better here. Each one has its own appeal. Thank you for joining my photo challenge with this beauty.
Thank you for letting me in!

Lovely in color and b&w. For me, the color version pulls me in more.
I think I like the bw version best on this one, Leya. I can see the composition better.
I like them both- the b &w reminds me of an old movie.
I like the color, but as has been said, the B&W is good for a moody/nostalgic shot.

The mood is important, yes. Maybe tomorrow you will prefer the other one. Which means they are both useful?
It does, although I have a tendency to prefer color. 🙂
Manna Mexi was right in saying it depends on the mood….for mine this week I had in mind film noir, and had the image to carry it through.
That said, your first image in monochrome speaks of the past.,,,
Mmm, it does…
I like the black and white. 😉
Me too – sheep are black and white as well!
These sorts of questions are so hard. 🙂 It really depends what mood you wish to create. In the case of these photos both work. But as you know, it’s not always this way.
So true – mood.
