A short trip to celebrate my son’s birthday – resulted in some other lovely meetings as well. The typical Swedish Spring landscape and and a Grand Rooster and his pretty girl.
I spotted him because of his loud speech, and immediately fell in love with this handsome gentleman…
”Just wanted to show off my gal…”, he eyed me. Isn’t she just perfect? Well, yes, of course she is. Thank you for following me to the gate so I could get a glimpse of her! And … maybe I am just a little bit jealous!
Lovely that you were able to be with your son for his birthday. And what picturesque surroundings along the road. Some of the houses seem to have water barrels. Is that correct? I wonder if you went back again if the rooster would be proud to show you his little chicks. 🙂 🙂
Water barrels are often used here – I have used that myself to get rain water for my orchids. And – I guess he would have proudly shown me his chicks as well!
I wish water barrels were more readily available here.
They are not? I even bought some large plastic troughs…or what to call them.
Not really unless you live in areas which are very reliant on rain water. I do have some plastic trash cans which collect rainwater but they are not connected to run off from the roof.
Aha
It is indeed a lovely landscape, so inviting and smooth. Beautiful images, Ann-Christine.
Thank you – appreciate your comments.
Sweden is beautiful at all times, but spring is very special especially after such a long winter. This place looks absolutely gorgeous, Ann-Christine!
It was, thank you, Dina.
