Beautiful. I love the way you have framed it.
So glad you enjoyed the photo – and the tree!
Beautful – so a wonderful old tree
It is – thank you!
So beautiful!
Thank you, Aletta – this old beech tree is the grandest tree in the forest.
Such a beautiful image, Ann-Christine!
Thank you – this beech is the grandest tree in my forest, and I sit under it in summer, and admire its colours in autumn. I always worry about the storms, with its giant crown the gusts work hard on it.
Any idea how old it is already? I’m always fascinated thinking about the things that happened in human history during the lifetime of such big trees.
I don’t know how old it could be, but have reported it to the data system for the preserving of old trees. It is about 35 meters high and 4.5 m around. It should be about 150-200 years old.
A natural monument for sure!
I doesn’t get much more beautiful than this. What an amazing tree!
Thank you, Otto. I often go to the forest and these meadows just to enjoy the solitude and the beauty of this giant beech tree. I don’t know how old it is, but at least 200 years estimated. Standing solitary it has been able to grow into a daunting beauty.
