Tree of Life. It is wonderful to notice the many wildlife footprints – the snow reveals that we still have a strong population of both deer, foxes, hares and rabbits.

Winter light comes in many hues depending on time of the day and temperatures.

But it is always enjoyable!

Lots of snow where you are, but so beautiful! Trees are standing tall, love it. Stay warm.
We are at 60s today, it was almost 80 F yesterday. 12 degrees above normal….
Thank you – yes, the warmer climte is frightening
Your photography is stunning, Ann-Christine. Looks like you are getting a lot of snow and winter has now set in for you. As you said, it really does look like your snow has gotten much traffic from wildlife. The wildlife must be out and about food food and then going back to shelter from cold.
I find these images fascinating since it never snows here in my part of Australia on the other side of the world. We are into summer now here. It seems to be a warm one this year. Wishing you well this season and end of the year 😊💕
I wish you a happy and lovely holiday season, Mabel. And for the new year we can only wish the heat will not be too overwhelming. Thank you for commenting, and hearing from you! ♥
Yes, hope the heat – and cold – won’t be too overwhelming for everyone. It’s this time of the year where the northern and southern hemispheres can both have extreme weather. Always love seeing your photography, Ann-Christine 💕
Thank you, Mabel! Always lovely to hear from you!
😊
Photos to make me shiver both with the cold and with delight, especially that last shot of the birch trees – beautiful!
Thank you, Sarah.
Beautiful!
Thank you, to me winter is.
A marvellous evocation of winter in the wild.
♥
So beautiful! I really love the last photo, I think that is my favorite! …and then the one with the animal footprints!
Thank you, Lisa! Happy you liked them – especially the proof of wildlife!
*huge smile* Am trying to feel cold so I can be part of the scene . . . a little difficult when the thermometer on the wall says 41C !!!
Yikes!
Beautiful images, Ann-Christine.
Excellent capture of the light, getting the color and exposure with snow is masterful.
I’m almost tempted to say it makes me like winter, until I remember the cold. But your post makes me see how beautiful it is.
Haha, well, I think it is different when you have grown up with it!
I have to remember that yours is one of the blogs that thinks I’m not logged in (when I am) and thus rejects my comment, sending me to the Reader to try to re-create it.
❤ Gorgeous, especially that last photo. It's wonderful to know that there are so many animals around.
Thank you, Janet. Always WP… I am glad you liked the winter shots – and the last one is a favourite!
That’s a lot of snow! Beautiful captures
Thank you! And now it is melting…

It’s got me shivering so it’s definitely doing its job!

Gosh is all this snow recent?
The photos are from last week!
Yikes!
And now it is melting…
Such lovely wintry landscape!
Thank you! Snow is always welcome to light up our grey winter days.
So beautiful Ann-Christine!
Thank you, Anne!
