Thursday Thoughts – Summer Mornings

Some mornings are made for wandering

Contemplation

And Wonder

Walking through the forest

And out in the sunshine

I wonder at the glorious gifts we have been given on this earth. We should treasure it to the full and keep it safe…for coming generations.

Thursday Thoughts – I Try to Leave Nothing but Footprints

Stensjö By – an old heritage village left just like it was in the 1920’s. Nothing removed, nothing added.

Today we have to motivate people not to destroy, and to leave nature as they would love to see it. ”Leave it as you found it” is not always relevant though. I often bring a paper bag and pick up what other people have thrown away. I don’t know how it is possible not to have noticed how much waste there is, how much plastic and what it does to animals and to ourselves – to our very existence here. Is it too late to learn this lesson again? And it all depends on us, and the parents to the new generation… It is almost as simple as that – What I learned from my parents, I have taught my own children.

Thursday Thoughts – Midsummer Garden Greetings

Midsummer is the best time in Sweden, and Tuesday this week was the summer solstice. We spent most of the night outdoors. Something to celebrate. The longest day. A walk in my garden gives me much pleasure, and this is the time to send some of that love with the warm winds to you, wishing you beautiful days wherever you are ♥

Thursday Thoughts – Västervik Street Art

Västervik town had three big street art festivals 2019-2021. We went there for a couple of days to enjoy the beautiful town and its art. The weather was not the best, but good enough. Some works from the festivals collected here. In the header we have an Ollio/Curtis Hylton.

Lula Goce – Spain
Mantra – France

Ketones 6000 – Australia

Curtis Hylton – England

Curtis Hylton – England

Telmomiel – Holland. This one was my favourite.

Thursday Thoughts – Hiking Stenshuvud

A spring hike is never wrong. Here I am sending some highlights from one of the most beautiful protected areas in Skåne, where I live. It is known for its biodiversity and its many pasqueflowers. My Silent Sunday was photographed there too.

The area is 300 hectares large, and consists of forest, meadows, marshland, beaches and sea.

In May it is of course a dream to walk here, but Autumn too is very beautiful. We usually visit twice a year. Milo loves it.

The paths are mostly easily walked, but maybe not for everyone.

The marshland is fascinating and can not be reached all days of the year. Spring is often OK, if the rains are moderate.

Orchids are frequent, as are all spring flowers – gently nodding to you from both sides of the path.

Some of them are secret charmers…

About three hours later, we are back at the gate. This part of the hike goes through an area with foreign trees brought here from all over the world.

So, hope you enjoyed the tour, thank you for walking with me! These few images hopefully show some of the National Park’s great diversity.

Thursday Thoughts – Local Art Exhibition

Every Easter, Swedish artists offer local exhibitions to reach their customers. This year we went to Hovdala Castle for an overview instead of driving around to the different artists and their ateliers. Environmental friendly and time saving.

How about a peep into some of our local artists’ work?

Finally, a painting I really recognize my spirit and soul in.

Hope you enjoyed the little tour!

Thursday Thoughts – Easter Holidays are Yellow!

– and daffodils are a must!

Wishing you all a peaceful, happy and sunny Easter!
