Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Teal or Turquoise

Last week I missed out on the challenge, but this week, with Teal or Turquoise, I knew exactly where to go…to my husbands cousin. The Turqoise Lady. These are all from her home. so, Let’s go inside!

And, seen through the mirror – the painted stairway!

Rapperswil – The City of Roses (and no people…?)

Rapperswil is a small town with a medieval heart – a castle from the 11th century. We walked the famous Linden Promenade and visited the Kapucin monastery to inhale the rose garden…the whole town is immersed in the scent of roses from May to October.

The heat. I am not very heat tolerant and dogs in cars when it is 35 degrees C is not healthy. This girl was looking rather good though – her master and mistress was sitting in the car too with the AC running.

The entrance to the monastery was easily found – even if we didn’t meet any people to ask in the streets…Everybody was inside their houses.

Even the roses seemed to suffer, but they were still beautifully open and fresh.

The Linden Promenade – deer, monastery and castle views.

Sticking close to the shade of the thick walls.

Chimneys are a passion with me too. And how about having a garden on top?

Still no people – not even tourists. Finally we found some people walking in the shadows close to the lake (Lake Zürich).

Still, such a strange sight – no people in this touristic village – but it was all due to the heat. This young man did the only right thing on a day like this!

WPC: Door

I very much like to take photos of doors – but for this challenge I have only chosen one door, and a Swiss one. For more doors, click here.

Mera Madrid – More of Madrid, People and Others

Madrid is one of my favourite cities, and of course I will take you for a walk once more. Hopefully you will recognize some places but not all of them!

The terminal – walking in – had a very nice arcitechture. This place was new to me as we normally don’t go here with Iberia.

Then Madrid met us with the same happy face as usual – but people and other little friends are always new and interesting.

One of my favourite places to go is the big city parc – Retiro. The Crystal Palace is the place where interesting exhibititions are up – this time the theme was nomad tents. The artist, Federico Guzmán.
