Att vandra i bergen innebär en frihetskänsla av stor mått. Utsikten är ofta magnifik och luften klarare att andas. Utsikt mot bergen ifrån dalarna är också fantastisk. I vissa dalar skulle jag ha svårt att leva dock, jag känner mig instängd och smått kvävd när de stora jättarna kryper tätt inpå. Solen går ner fort och växtligheten blir också lidande.
Precis som många andra har jag många foton på vackra berg, så det är svårt att välja. Jag försöker gå från södra halvklotets Nya Zeeland, Milford Sound, till längst i norr och Nordkapp. Däremellan ligger bilder från Sverige, Tibet och Himalaya.
Mountains – dont’t we all love them? They are majestic and serene – and beautiful. Up there, the air is clear and you can really breathe in the cool air. Just watching them from below makes your soul soar.
From the very South with Milford Sound, New Zealand to the very North, Nordkapp (with rays of midnight sun) in Norway. In between – pictures from Sweden, Tibet and the Himalayas.

My favourite photo of yours are the one with the red houses and the mist swaying at the bottom of the mountain and then the sun at the top.. Det er simpelthen bare et pragtfuldt billede, kære… Klem!!

Andlöst vackra bilder! Jag har egentligen inte rört mig mycket i bergslandskap men det är kanske dags nu. I mars skall jag iaf på en kort utflykt i nordost för lite skidsemester. Eller rättare sagt, för min del är det mera fotografering än skidor som står på programmet.

Ja vad ska man säga …. Ibland blir man liksom stum av hur vacker naturen är … Och det är den verkligen i dina bilder. När man får vara ute och ta del av nåt så fint , det är iaf då mina kroppsliga batterier laddas !

There is something striking about where the mountains meet the water. Great photos. I found your blog here and notice you have quite a few NZ photos. Have you recently been on a holiday there? I was also there in 2010 just before the first Christchurch quake hit, and plan to go back again this year. Wonderful destination. Even if the bed shakes a bit!! Love your blog and will visit again soon.
Thank you for a warming and interesting comment! Yes…I always will come back to New Zealand. I was there for a month over Christmas and New Year 2011/2012. I had a penfriend there when I was young and I have always wanted to go – she sent me such wonderful photos. Sadly I couldn’t find her or get in touch with her before we went. So you were there just before Christchurch? – well, much was still under reconstruction when we visited. A minor quake came the last day there. How I envy you going again! I wish…but maybe someday. It’s a frightfully long journey from Sweden though. I want to see Stewart Island as well. There wasn´t time for it then.
