The last visit this year to our summer place…meant some thinking and some walking and some …just being. A long goodbye in pictures – a last day of summer beauty – sunny and warm. You are welcome to accompany me on this farewell walk yesterday, from daybreak to a cavalcade of sunset!

wow, simply magnifique… my very best and have a sunny weekend! cheers, Mélanie
Thank you, Mélanie! Have a great weekend you too!
Loved seeing your day thru pictures. Dew on the rose….priceless!
Lovely comment – thank you!
So lovely and serene.
It’s all about summer!
So beautiful, but I can’t deny makes me miss summer…already 🙂
Sorry…but Autumn can be great as well!
What a lovely goodbye to our old friend, Summer. There is such beauty through your lens, you know what translates so well – we share in this gift. Thank you Anne-Christine for sharing.
Mary, thank you for being so supportive! I’m happy to think we share in this gift. Seeing beauty. Have a great week!
Otroligt vackra foton. Lite vemod förstås, när vi går mot vintern igen.
mmm….nu är sommaren slut. Man ser färgskiftningarna i träden…
Love the photos. Bye Bye to summer is almost there, and then we welcome the season of colours, the Autumn and the rustic beauty it will bring along 🙂
xx
Yes, welcome colours! Sometimes we don’t get any though, because the rain takes it all. Is that the case in England as well?
Oh yes here it does happen too. Rains and England are synonyms :D:D
But we get to see those colours every year.
xx
Each photo has its own unique beauty. Thank you for sharing your good-bye to summer.
thank you for a lovely comment!
Beautiful goodbye to summer, Leya! Love these sunset photos.
😀
Beautiful place, and I love the image of the two chairs by the water. Gorgeous sunset images. Happy autumn, AnnChristine. 🙂
Beautiful images :).It is a pleasure to know that summer has been somewhere in world this year, as here in Italy it has never really shown up 😦
It hasn’t? Well, I’m a bit one eyed and was sure Italy always was sunny and warm! Maybe you will have a great and mild winter at least.
Lovely! Your sunset images are a nice farewell to your summer 🙂
Now there will soon be summer pictures from other parts of the world! Blogging has got many advantages with friends living in all kinds of climate and seasons.
Beautiful photos … And a bit sad … But as I said in another of post of yours … Welcome autumn with your spectacular colors … // Maria 🙂
Agree – although sometimes we don’t get them if there is too much rain. I’ll have to enjoy yours instead!
Memories to keep you warm all winter. Lovely. Love your description of the sunset as a cavalcade.
They will keep me warm I hope – and so will your sharings from the world downunder – going for summer!
All so beautiful, Ann Christine ! – and you make it so bloody SAD ! I can’t imagine what it must be like to have all the seasons so clearly defined … Here they just kind of drift into one another, so that you don’t get that feeling of ending at all.
I know…the drifting. I like having seasons, but sometimes there is a blur here too – no real summer, no real autumn, no snow and a cold spring. Then I miss the differences terribly much. But your temperatures never go that low – that must be very pleasant!
I see you have a new blog! Have to come visiting immediately! You are a very busy and energetic woman. I wish I had some more of that…
What a lovely place. I see why it is hard to say good bye
I’m longing for spring already.
Stunning sunset shots…..there really is nothing more wonderful than the setting sun over water!
That’s special, yes. Seems to appeal to all of us – for many reasons I guess. The colours, the stillness in the air, the feeling of the earth and its inhabitants going to rest after a busy day, the silence in your soul. A neverending list but a beautiful one.
Beautiful place.
Thank you, Rosemarie It’s always hard to leave when autumn comes.
