How much do I long for this? I cannot tell you. But, the blackbird sings in the evening now, the cranes, the lark and the lapwings have arrived. We are ready.

I feel like that first shot, just waiting to unfold when spring arrives. The black birds are in the park already, harbingers of spring, even though there’s little green yet.
