As we leave summer behind and enter Autumn, I want to express my gratefulness to the Swedish summer I experienced in Abisko.
Abisko is forever connected to my first hike on the King’s Trail when I was young
But now it will also be remembered for giving us the only real Swedish summer in 2018
For its lushness, colours and Linneas – and for the only raindrops for three months.
No one can deny the beauty of the mountain forest and its shy inhabitants…
…hiding their freshness in the cool air –
…and silently showing off their finery –
But Autumn is here now – hopefully with more colourful strokes from Nature’s palette
Thank you – Abisko – I am forever grateful!

What a lovely tribute to nature! It’s so sad when the climate changes and we can’t appreciate nature in its full glory.
Yes. And even more sad when people in power does not acknowledge scientific data or the serious state of our planet. It is not ”only the weather”. We have only one planet, planet Earth. And we do not take proper care of it.
Beautiful photos … 🙂
Thank you!
Beautiful photos of a beautiful place
Healing me more than ever.
Is there more rain now? the photos are so lovely and we all need rain everywhere. Fortunately we got some the last few weeks too.
Yes, there is more rain now – we are catching up even if it is too late for some crops and many animals. I am glad you have rain as well!
Simply beautiful! 🙂 🙂 Have a joyful Autumn!
You too!
Oh, beautiful, Ann Christine!
Strange to remember a whole summer for one, single week. But what a week!
Well, that’s the answer!
Such a precious gift to be at Abisko.
It was – a one week summer!
So much beauty you have captured Leya
To savour for the rest of the year!
This is lovely
Thank you
