We have wood anemones in the forest here but nothing like this wonderful carpet you have photographed. Lovely!
Lovely they are – and not every year we get the carpet either – I am afraid we will lose it soon because of frosty nights ahead.
That’s really great.. our wood anenomies are sparse this spring. Some suggest that is because our winter and early spring was so wet.
Ah. sad – but we are unfortunately getting several frosty nights ahead…so this was THE opportunity to catch them.

It looks like a snow carpet. Here the anemones have blossemed already sinds end of last month.
