What a marvelous exhibition! Thanks for sharing some of it. When I was in Europe in the 70’s, I visited the Van Gogh Museum and as captivated. I hadn’t thought that much of his work before but it was amazing.

we love van Gogh’s style, the dynamic brush strokes and his colours.
I partly grew up not that far from Otterlo/NL where the main collection of van Gogh picture was shown. They showed the pointillists there as well what made me aware of this influence on van Gogh’s pictures. It was a time when the theory of seeing colours was discussed in science and art.
Van Gogh is a kind of bridge between classic and modern art.

He fascinates me too – more often in his life history than in the various creative leaps he made in the ‘art of making art’ that only keen eyes and art lovers truly appreciate on all the layers of his work that drove him forward, always (or mad, or crazy, or to drinking – LOL)
