As the wedding cake was the star, I had to Get in closer!

In the dark forest, I used Selective focus to make these buttercups shine. And some negative space…

Leading lines is a trick to use whenever possible. This is a Japanese garden in Sweden.
We invite you to join us this week as we explore more tips for creating engaging and memorable photos. Here are the guidelines from Patti:
Select 2 or 3 tips and compose your photos. Try to limit them to 4. Identify what tip you used.
Looking back…last week, Tina explored the rule of threes and how our minds linger longer on an odd number of objects. Fascinating! Next week it will be Sofia’s turn to challenge us, so stay tuned for her great post on Saturday, June 13th. In the meantime, stay curious, be nice, and find beauty in unexpected places!
The wedding bouquet is my favorite, AC. Wonderful photos as always. I hope all is good with you. 😘😘
What an interesting looking bridge, Ann-Christine, but the wedding cake is my favorite – it’s gorgeous looking!! Any cake that looks that lovely has to be delicious!
That cake looks delish, Ann-Christine! The softness of the buttercups wins my heart this week.
It was! Thank you!
Great examples for the challenge, Ann-Christine. I love the composition of the yellow flowers.
Thank you, John!
I love the yellow flowers!
♥
The cake is beautiful A-C. Your daughter?? Lovely response as always
♥ My son…
The yellow flowers really pop!
Thank you – standing in the forest dark, they rely on a glimpse of sun!
Three stunning images here Ann-Christine. I can’t pick one I like more than the others 🙂
♥ How nice of you! I am glad.
That buttercups shot is wonderful and my favourite from this threesome, though they all work very well for the challenge 🙂
Thank you, Sarah, I love that one too. Flowers in the forest lend themselves to special photos when they catch a glimpse of the sun.
Ann-Christine, the cake is the star but these are all beautiful.
♥ Thanks, Beth!
Beautiful selection of photos Ann Christine! I love the cake, for the softness of colour’s, and the butter cup how it jumps from the image. The garden looks so very peaceful!
Thank you, Pamela – it was a great challenge.
Three good examples, A C! My favourite is those buttercups – selective focus, but also plenty of surrounding negative space!
Thank you, Sue!
Love all three examples you have shown . . . but especially the buttercups truly smiling, showing off and starring . . . ________________________________
The buttercups get much love this time – thank you!
Excellent examples for this week’s challenge, Ann-Christine. The roses on the cake are gorgeous and who could resist a close-up of the actual roses.
♥ Thank you!
Lovely photos Ann-Christine.
Thank you, Brad!
Excellent gallery Anne-Christine. I particularly like the cake. ”Let them eat cake!” (A sentiment that’s having a revival here in America).
Thank you! Haha – what a sentiment…revival!
Lot’s of revival here. Party like it’s 1890.
