This week I am in for combining two challenges, the WPC and Ailsa’s Travel theme. I just could not resist this…
Of course it has to be a tree…enduring hundreds of years, every season’s challenges – rain, heat, draught, storm, frost, snow – still standing tall and strong. In Sweden no other tree but the giant old oak trees measure up to this concept.

Our Live Oaks in South Carolina are equally beautiful – a great example for the challenge.
Tina – for me there was nothing else to choose. Oak trees are just amazing. The trunks are alive with wisdom…

But he is not being MANAGED, Ann-Christine ! – the local authorities should send around some arborists to clean him up and ensure he goes on living for a very long time …
